· We run 2" and 2-1/2" belt sanders at work. The 2" has a 6" diameter drive wheel on a 3 horse motor at probably 1725 rpm. One 2-1/2" belt is on 10", 3hp at 1725 rpm and the other 2-1/2" is on 12", 5hp at 1725 rpm. I wanna say belt length is 72". Lower pulley is spring loaded, crowned, adjustable angle to the drive pulley and spring loaded.
